This 13" replica Dragon Glass blade was originally carved from wood, then molded and cast into a very hard crystal clear specialty resin. Normally in thin sections, most resins will bend or warp. In this case a special process was used to ensure that doesn't happen. Not to bore you with those details but just to give you some idea, its a lengthy process that requires re-heating the cured material almost to its melting point and much like in forging hardened steel it was rapidly cooled down to increase its hardness. Its very hard and can become very sharp, though it is not shipped that way for safety reasons.

The casting themselves are multi-color and permanent wax based paint is applied and buffed out for the desired effect. Held flat in the shade the blade is mostly black, since the casting is translucent light pierces though from multiple angles. This particular blade was designed in such away that it can be back lit on display, for the effect seen in the primary image (bottom left).

The handle is wrapped with premium leather, strips are all hand cut and dyed here in the shop.

Do to the nature of this item, it would be nearly impossible to make any 2 identical. Castings are all trimmed, cut and textured after they have cured. All the final detailing is done by hand, right down to the paint, polishing and leather work.

It takes a few days to go through the process and several hours to make each one of these blades, shipping is set @ 2-3weeks to insure I can deliver a quality piece to you.

There will be a few variations to this item coming soon, to include a display and fur sheath.

*Special note: Quantities will be very limited for this item, as the process used to make it is very hard on the mold. Material is expensive and start to finish, very time consuming.

When will my order ship?

Usually within the described shipping time which is different for most items. Occasionally a label is created prior to shipment, I usually try to set the notification to the same day as actually shipping out but sometimes I forget to change that date... Regardless, most items are shipped and notified correctly. Worst case scenario 5-7 days after the label is created. Normally I prep boxes the week before shipping out.
